Don't Admire 'Til You See the Whites of His Icons...

(Photo the property of AP/Matt Dunham)

Ryuji is the only guy on Tour dressing like what's going on in mainstream fashion. He's got the whole workwear-meets-prep thing going - as best you can for golf. He's got the updated fits, the slight streetwear edginess. Big fan.

This look is fantastic - save for the way-too-bright, new FootJoy Icons. And the black stripe on the shoes with the weathered brown belt...Ryooj...c'mon buddy. This is a mishit. You could do a little bit of white, with a brown saddle version of the same shoe or you could do an all-brown shoe.

The rest of this look is straight links camo. They could stick Ryuji out in the gorse and not find him 'til November. But then we'd miss all his great looks for the remainder of the season. This would be sad, sad indeed.

The shoe on its own is actually awesome. I'd seen that particular design of the Icon online and didn't think I'd like them, but they look really sleek in this photo. I'm very excited about Icon season. Make sure you stock away a few pairs of Classics if you see them, though, it'll never be quite the same...

I'll go a step further and say this would be the saddest, the saddest indeedest.

Wow. If the shoe is actually awesome on its own, imagine the awesomeness if the shoe was paired with another one.
