Dressing your body type

(AP Photos by Matt York and Ross D. Franklin)

I talk alot about fit and the importance of dressing your body type. No one does this better than WGC Match-Play finalist Paul Casey. Paul is 5' 9'' and stocky with Popeye-esque forearms, but when you see him on TV, his clothing fits him so precisely (no excess material on the shirts, trousers cut perfectly and good length) that he looks leaner and taller than he should. Two easy ways to appear taller: Make sure your sleeves hit above your elbow and choose a slim cut (don't be afraid) flat-front trouser with only a slight break at your shoe. Pleats make anyone look squatter. Something to think about for the guys who aren't blessed with the long and lanky gait of a Geoff Ogilvy, who I will cover in my next post.
